Aromas of lemongrass, herbs, and citrus are subtly integrated with the richly textured palate that features notes of ripe pear and passionfruit. The refreshing finish is crisp, dry and well-balanced.
Momo is a line of wines produced by Seresin Estate in Marlborough, New Zealand. The portfolio is appropriately named – Momo means “offspring” in Maori. The wines are made from grapes grown in Seresin’s three biodynamic vineyards and from dedicated growers in the region. Seresin’s winemaker Clive Dougall uses minimal intervention to present wines with honest varietal character and quality.
Technical notes
Fruit from Seresin’s biodynamic vineyards was blended with sustainably grown grapes from another estate that were harvested in the evening and early morning hours to preserve freshness. The grapes were fermented at low temperatures and matured sur lie to lend depth and complexity to the mid palate.

Fruit coming from vineyards in the plains of the Wairau Valley of Marlborough is a friendly new addition to our SB section. ‘Offspring’ in Maori, MOMO reflects its heritage as part of the Seresin Estate Family - wines grown naturally to express the season and land from which they come. A very pretty Sauvignon Blanc offering hints of pear and citrus on the nose. On the palate, hints of lemon zest with a little tropical fruit lingering at the finish. This is an elegant side of New Zealand SB that make you taste and discover at your palates own pace. A bottle of wine to share with time and friends, both of which will leave wonderful lasting memories.

The image of the hand is a symbol of strength, gateway to the heart, tiller of the soil, the mark of the artisan, and embodies the philosophy of Seresin Estate. Our grapes, estate grown on the Wairau River's warm alluvial terraces, are picked at the close of the long Marlborough summer. In the winery, minimal intervention allows the layers of flavour to evolve, so the wines are a natural expression of the soil from which they come.
