Burgundy encompasses 5 distinct wine areas from Chablis in the north to Beaujolais in the south, but it is the Côte d'Or that has long been the source for the world's greatest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. This 2-week course will examine the key appellations of the Côte d'Or.
Week 1 will examine the southern portion of the Côte d'Or, the Côte de Beaune known for its brilliant white wines and elegant reds.
Week 2 will examine the northern portion of the Côte d'Or, the Côte de Nuits, home to world's most sought-after wines and most distinctive Pinot Noir.
